All new hires will be immediately involved in an induction training scheme intended to raise awareness of who we are, what we want and where we are going. We talked about this with Gianni Luongo, Dedalus HR Training & Management Specialist.

Gianni Luongo: For some time, both the management and operational levels of the entire company has established the need for ad hoc training for new employees to provide awareness of the work setting in which they will be involved. Making people feel comfortable and conveying our values, vision and approach as correctly and coherently as possible is critical to the creation of a firm basis for effective collaboration.

Usually in our company, the work is focused within local administrative regions and takes place at the client location, not always with a Dedalus team. For this reason, it is particularly important to make new colleagues feel part of the Dedalus team, reassured by the knowledge and competence of other professionals who will be able to support them in their daily activities.

How is Dedalus’ induction scheme structured?

Gianni Luongo: The induction scheme is a very intense 5 day programme that will take place at the D4 Center so that  new colleagues can directly experience this important workshop focused on internationalisation, innovation, training, skills, solutions and service evolution.

The programme includes a day with the HR team with an address from the Dedalus Holding Company President to convey the company vision and mission, followed by a presentation on the various settings in which we operate (public and private sector, primary care, various healthcare sectors etc.). Two days are then dedicated to processes, our product components, and new development lines in D4 architecture and finally a day dedicated to compulsory training.

Will long-serving Dedalus colleagues also be able to learn about the subjects covered during this event?

Gianni Luongo: As mentioned, this scheme was initially designed for newly-hired staff, in particular those that started at Dedalus between the end of 2019 and January 2020. Thereafter it will be scheduled for new recruits on a monthly basis. However, we should be able to make videos of the scheduled sessions to circulate among all Dedalus colleagues, as business transformations are important and develop rapidly.
